This Is PAST!
Last year, we were able to impact over 4,000 students in nearly 40 different program offerings – a 39% increase over last year. We ended the year with an impact of over 150,000 students historically. Look for even more engaging and innovative programs as we begin 2018!
FIRST® LEGO League is competition for 4th-8th grade students. During this weeklong, half day camp, students will learn the basics of programming and mechanical design. Alongside student mentors, teams will build and program an autonomous LEGO EV3 robot to complete a series of tasks ranging from simple to more complex movements involving logic and sensors. No previous robotics programming experience is necessary. The week will conclude with a robot showcase.
Two sessions offered:
- June 4 - 8, 2018 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
- July 9 - 13, 2018 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Grades 4th-8th

Learn how cameras work and how math, science, and art come together to create photographs. Learn about the many different types of photography including landscapes, still life, documentary, and portraits. Get hands-on experience with modern digital cameras and learn how they function. Study composition and how to create dynamic images using the camera’s manual settings. Experiment with creative ways to edit, print, and share images.

Attention creative artists in the making! Want to create a lasting piece of artwork with a local area artist? Then join us for this one week summer bridge program and help create the next part of a community garden outside wall mural. Students will get to design and create the second part of the four-part mural. Students will learn about murals including history, techniques and finally plan and execute their group masterpiece all while using design thinking. Bundle this camp with Techno Fashion for an all-day experience!
One session offered: June 25 - 29, 2018 - 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Attention creative minds! Are you interested in programming, design and fashion? Techno Fashion gives you the chance to create your own wearable technology. Using Arduino devices, you will have the chance to program and create a piece of one of a kind clothing that you can show off to your friends! At the conclusion of this camp students will keep their creation including the Arduino processor. Bundle this camp with Art & STEM for an all-day experience!
