A Note from our President & CEO about
Summer 2020 Programs

To our Families, Friends, and Community:
First, we hope that you are all well, staying safe and getting out into the sunshine as often as possible these days.
As we all continue to navigate the impact of COVID-19 in and on our community, we want you all to know that we feel the same sense of unknown at PAST as you do at home, work and school. One of the things that we look forward to each and every year are our Summer STEM programs. This year is no different – we can’t wait for your kids to arrive at our doors!
However, at the PAST Foundation we share our state’s concerns about COVID-19, and we know each day brings new information along with more questions. As the situation continues to affect our world we are paying attention, adapting and preparing. The team at PAST is working hard to create a summer schedule that will ensure safety for all that are involved while continuing to bring engaging and fun STEM programming to your child.
Because of the uncertainty of what the month of June will hold for restrictions on social distancing and gatherings, we will be making some necessary changes to our camp schedule. During the month of June, a select number of programs will be held virtually. With the hopes that restrictions will be lifted, we will be holding in-person camps in the month of July instead of June this year. PAST program staff will be in-touch if you have already registered for June sessions with options and we will continue to update and share our plans as they evolve.
We understand and share in the frustration of the unknown as we continue to look forward to the upcoming months. PAST is so grateful for the continued support and we are looking forward to bringing high quality STEM programming to our students this summer. We ask for your patience and understanding as we all figure out what SUMMER 2020 holds for all of us.
Warm regards,
Annalies Corbin
We will continue to keep you informed of our
new summer schedule in the upcoming weeks so please stay tuned!

PAST receives 2020 Youth Pathway Grant from the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation

The following statement was released by the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation on
March 31, 2020.
Leveraging the resources of the Fisher Fund, Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation launched a Youth Pathways initiative in 2018, focused on introducing students to and training them for careers in food, agricultural and environmental sciences. Each year, organizations throughout the state are invited to submit proposals for innovative projects that would help to address the need to attract more young people to careers in these fields.
Hocking County Farm Bureau and the PAST Foundation are recipients of funding for 2020. A total of $116,900 will assist these two nonprofits as they develop programming that will prepare students for post-secondary training or direct placement in food, agricultural and environmental sciences industries.
