FREE Professional Learning Opportunity

Join Fellow Central Ohio Elementary and Middle School Educators to collaborate, connect, and create problem-based content that focuses on real-world issues and engages your students. Elementary Educators will have the opportunity to focus on Environmental Science while Middle School Educators will focus on Aviation.
There are four components to this program:
- Easy to access online course to explore Design Thinking in September 2019
- Followed by a 1/2 day workshop to experience design challenge activities
- Concierge support throughout so your design challenge goes smoothly
- Wrap-up virtual discussion to share results

A Trip To The Island of Tobago
Global Sustainability Program 2019

This year the OSU course on Global Sustainability turned its focus to the Island of Tobago in the Caribbean. Located less than 15 miles off the coast of Venezuela, the island state of Trinidad and Tobago represent a diverse population with a rich, multi-ethnic heritage, and diverse economy. This years 9 students from Metro Early College and Westerville High School partnered with ERIC, the Environmental Research Institute at Charlotteville to explore ways to redesign their coral nursery, create a social enterprise that helps support the environmental efforts of the Institute, and builds community awareness around the importance of reestablishing the coral reefs.

#GirlsWhoLead Summit

The 2019 Girls Who Lead Summit, hosted at PAST and co-sponsored by Haven Collective, will give 120 parents and students an opportunity to experience interactive breakout sessions based around STEM innovation with the opportunity to “try on” different STEM skills. The sessions will provide hands on opportunities for participants to examine their own vision and opportunities.
